iWork :: Disable Address Auto-Detection

One of the cool things about Apple's iWork applications (Pages and Keynote) is that when you type a web address or e-mail address, it's smart enough to detect that, so it automatically turns it into a hyperlink. One of the annoying things about Apple's iWork applications is that when you type a web address or e-mail address, it's smart enough to detect that, so it automatically turns it into a hyperlink.

"Wait, how can it be cool and annoying at the same time?", you may ask? Well, there are certainly times where this feature is useful, but personally, I would rather it not detect these addresses automatically about 95% of the time. When I am giving a presentation, for example, there is no reason for an address to be hyperlinked. The same goes for printed documents.

To turn this feature off, go into the preferences for each application (just because you disable this for Pages doesn't mean it is disabled for Keynote).

To disable this feature in Pages, click on the "Auto-Correction" button, and uncheck the box called "Automatically detect email and web addresses", as shown below:
