3rd-Party Solution :: iCalShare.com One of the incredibly powerful features of Apple's iCal is the ability to share calendars that you have created and maintain (of course, this does require a current .Mac account), as well as to subscribe to calendars that others maintain (family, company schedule, etc). Apple has some pretty good calendars available on their iCal web site. One of my favorites is the "Movie Openings" calendar. Not only does it list the movies that are opening on specific days, but it also includes links to the trailer. If the calendars provided by Apple aren't good enough for you, browse over to iCalShare.com. At press time, iCalShare.com boasts more than 2,700 calendars in almost 40 unique categories. Below is a screenshot of the home page: One of the great things about iCalShare.com is that the bulk of the calendars are submitted by users like you and me. If you have an urge to share a calendar you created and maintain revolving around sporting events in your hometown, this is the place to do it. Submitting your own calendars is easy to do, and subscribing is even easier. Give it a try... it's free! |
