There is almost an unlimited number of web sites to help you keep up on the news. CNN, C|Net News and MSNBC are some of my favorites. The problem with these types of news sites, however, is that the flow of information is only one-way. You (the reader) have absolutely no input or say as to the contents of the site. It's all dictated by corporate.

Thanks to the good folks of Newsvine(.com), there's a new site in town. The biggest difference between Newsvine and other news-related sites is that the readers provide a good chunk of the content. You can vote on stories (which determines what stories are hot and what stories are not), provide feedback and comments for other Newsvine users to read, and even write your own column!

As you can see from the screenshot below, it's also a very clean site.
