iTunes :: Quick Filter... Sort Of When you're in the mood to listen to a certain group, nothing should hold you back. The filter (search) feature in iTunes is simply fabulous. It works wonders. Just the other day, I wanted to hear U2's "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb" album. Easy enough... I just did a search for "u2" and "disman". The rest is taken care of. Only one problem. There are a few songs on that CD that I don't particular care for all the time, and this was one of those times. There's a hard way to accomplish this, and an easy way. The hard way is to create an extremely complex search string. Alternatively, keep the simple search you are used to using, and then simply turn off the songs you don't want. To turn off the unwanted songs, simply uncheck the box to the left of each song, as shown below:
Once you're done, hit play, and iTunes will simply skip the songs that are turned off. As a final word of caution, don't forget to turn the songs on again. Otherwise, they will remain turned off, and you may never hear them again! |
