iTunes :: Submitting a Podcast Feed
Posted: January 06, 2006

So you have created an MP3 file using GarageBand, and published your new podcast to your .Mac account using Podcast Maker. The last thing you need to do to make your new podcast official is to advertise it in the iTunes Music Store for all the world to subscribe to!

There are two ways to do this: 1) via Podcast Maker or 2) directly through iTunes

Since you are already in Podcast Maker, you may as well use their new built-in "Submit to iTunes" tool. To do this, simply go to File | Submit to iTunes. It will then take you directly to the iTunes Music Store where you can enter your feed.

If you aren't using Podcast Maker, or if you want to use the iTunes Music Store directly to submit your feed, simply open iTunes, and go to the Music Store. Once you are there, click on "Podcasts" on the left side, then click on "Submit a Podcast".

Regardless of the method you choose, you will eventually see the following window:

From here, simply enter your feed URL, and press Continue. Once your feed has been submitted, you can expect it to take a day or so until it is officially searchable in the Music Store.

Now that your podcast has been created, published and added to the iTunes Music store, there is only one thing left to do... let me know what it is!! Seriously, if you have actually taken the time to do this, I want to be a part of it, and hear what you have to say.
